Patients have been shown to benefit from hyperbaric oxygen treatment because of its ability to decrease the effects of inflammation and initiate the regeneration of tissue and cells. A study involving 35 men and 4 women showed a combined response of 88% positive for improvement of symptoms following the prescribed course of HBOT.
